Christmas in Spain

This is how we celebrated Christmas at the school last year.

We created a LipDub, which was great fun. Everybody enjoyed doing it and we encourage you to try at your school. It doesn´t take much, apart from preparation and the results are great! We must thank Paca, one of our teachers at the English Department, for the idea and the initiative.

This year we decided to do something else ...

At Christmas time, Spanish people like to sing a lot. We sing the traditional "Villancicos". They are mainly Catholic praise songs. Elia, the Music teacher, rehearsed some with her students and they played them at the old people's home, next door to the school. It was a very pleasant Christmas surprise for the residents.

Here are the students in one of their rehearsals, during breaktime.

They also entered a local Villancicos competition, where more than ten choral and instrumental groups performed and they WON!!
